Job summary

Hook Junior School seeks a confident Learning Support Assistant 1 (LSA) to join a dedicated team. The role involves supporting teaching and learning in KS2, including 1:1 work with pupils with needs and covering lunchtime duties.

A safeguarding-aware, flexible candidate with GCSEs in English/Maths and an NVQ or equivalent is preferred. The position is part-time, fixed until 31 August 2027 with a view to permanent.Salary/Hours: Grade B, £25,615-£25,958 FTE; 8:15am–3:30pm, 33.75 hours/week,

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above.
• An NVQ qualification or equivalent.
• Positive behaviour management skills.
• Ability to form positive relationships with children and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning in KS2, including 1:1 support.
• Cover lunchtime duties as required.
• Work as part of a strong support staff team to aid pupil progress.
