Job summary

Ellesmere Primary School is seeking a General Teaching Assistant with SEN support to work in KS2 under the Class Teacher. The role is full-time, temporary until 31/08/2027, 32.5 hours per week during term time plus PD days.

You will support pupils, help access the curriculum, track progress and contribute to creating a safe, stimulating learning environment and strong home–school links.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and Maths at grade A-C or equivalent.
• ENVQ/ECE Level 2 in childcare or equivalent qualification.
• EA levels and a degree are desirable for progression.

Responsibilities

• Support individual children and groups under the class teacher's direction.
• Promote independent learning and help pupils access the full curriculum.
• Maintain pupil records and contribute to planning and evaluation of activities.
• Liaise with parents and professionals and ensure a safe, engaging environment.
