Randstad UK is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support two KS2 pupils in a primary school in Huyton, Knowsley. The role is full-time, term-time only, with mornings for Year 4 and afternoons for Year 5 pupils.

You will implement tailored SEN/SEND strategies, manage behaviour, support emotional regulation and collaborate with teachers, the SENCO, and external specialists to track progress and contribute to a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• KS2 experience as a primary teaching assistant within KS2.
• Direct experience supporting pupils with SEN/SEND, ADHD and ASD.
• Strong understanding of KS2 curriculum to differentiate subjects.
• Proven ability in behaviour support and de-escalation.
• Enhanced DBS via Update Service or willingness to apply.

Responsabilités

• Provide structured 1:1 guidance aligned with the KS2 curriculum.
• Implement SEN/SEND strategies for ADHD and ASD.
• Adapt activities to learning needs while managing behaviour support.
• Support pupils with focus, emotional regulation, and sensory needs.
• Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to record progress.
