Randstad UK is seeking a dedicated KS2 SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a student with special educational needs within a Key Stage 2 classroom at a Knowsley school. The role focuses on inclusive education and helping the student access the curriculum.

You will collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement IEPs, monitor progress, and promote a safe, positive learning environment that supports social and academic development.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting.
• Strong understanding of KS2 curriculum requirements and pedagogical approaches.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build rapport with students, staff and families.
• Patience, resilience and proactive problem-solving.

Responsabilités

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a student with special educational needs within a Key Stage 2 classroom.
• Adapt lesson materials and activities to ensure the student can access the curriculum.
• Implement IEPs in collaboration with the class teacher and SENCO.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports social and academic development.
• Monitor progress, record observations, and provide regular feedback to staff and parents.
• Support the student with emotional regulation and personal care where required, ensuring safety and wellbeing.
