Job summary

Randstad UK is seeking a dedicated EYFS/SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream primary school in Huyton. You will provide focused support to a student within EYFS/KS1, helping them access the curriculum and participate in lessons.

You will implement tailored strategies, monitor progress, and collaborate with teachers and SENCOs. A Level 2 or 3 TA qualification and strong SEN understanding are required, with excellent communication and safeguarding commitment.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification required.
• Experience providing 1:1 support in EYFS or KS1 preferred.
• Strong understanding of SEN and learning difficulties.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building with children.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil within EYFS/KS1.
• Implement tailored learning strategies as directed by teacher and SENCO.
• Foster a safe, inclusive learning environment supporting academic and social development.
• Assist with classroom activities and engagement with the curriculum.
• Monitor and track progress through observations and feedback.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external specialists for holistic support.
• Adapt materials to meet individual learning needs.
