Job summary

Randstad UK is recruiting a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant for KS2 at a primary school in Huyton, Knowsley. The role provides full-time classroom support for two pupils across KS2, with mornings for Year 4 and afternoons for Year 5. You will deliver individual learning plans and closely collaborate with teachers and SEN staff.

The post requires experience in KS2, SEN/SEND support, and a current DBS update. Term-time/full-time hours apply.

Qualifications

• KS2 Experience: Proven track record as a Primary TA within KS2.
• SEN Expertise: Direct experience supporting pupils with SEN/SEND, ADHD and ASD.
• Curriculum Knowledge: Strong KS2 understanding to differentiate core subjects.
• Classroom Management: Skilled in behaviour support and de-escalation.
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS on Update Service (or willing to apply).

Responsibilities

• Provide structured 1 to 1 guidance aligned with KS2 Primary Curriculum.
• Implement SEN/SEND strategies for ADHD and ASD.
• Adapt learning activities to individual needs and manage behaviour.
• Support pupils with focus, emotional regulation, and breaks.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCO and specialists to record progress.
