Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is currently seeking a confident Year 1 Class Teacher with SEN experience to join a welcoming primary school in St Albans. The role is full-time, long-term temporary with the potential for permanency, starting immediately.

You will teach Year 1, plan and assess lessons, and work closely with two Teaching Assistants to ensure access to learning for pupils with differing needs. A supportive leadership team and structured environment await.

Qualifications

• QTS required with KS1 teaching experience.
• Previous SEN support experience is essential.
• Strong classroom management and ability to differentiate learning.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess learning across Year 1.
• Adapt lessons to suit a range of abilities and SEN needs.
• Collaborate with two Teaching Assistants to support pupil learning.
• Establish routines, positive relationships and high expectations.
• Deliver engaging KS1 lessons, including phonics.
