Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. in London (Kensington) is seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join Year 1. This full-time, long-term role supports pupils with SEN and helps them access the Year 1 curriculum, under the guidance of the class teacher.

The ideal candidate has KS1 experience, SEN exposure, and a flexible, patient approach to individual learning needs. A Level 3 TA qualification and enhanced DBS are preferred; DBS Update service or willingness to apply is required.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children in a primary school, ideally KS1.
• Experience working with pupils with SEN (ASC, ADHD, SEMH, SLD).
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply.
• Professional references.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support and help pupils access Year 1 curriculum.
• Adapt support to individual learning and behavioural needs.
• Help children feel settled and confident in the classroom.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and wider school team.
