Job summary

Vision for Education is seeking a Year 1 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in the TS10 area. This full-time, longer-term role starts in December 2026, teaching a Year 1 class and supporting pupils transitioning from the Early Years Foundation Stage into Key Stage 1.

Qualifications

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Previous Key Stage 1 teaching experience is essential.
• Experience teaching Year 1 or KS1 curriculum.
• Strong understanding of phonics, early reading, writing and mathematics.
• Able to differentiate learning and manage behaviour effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Year 1 curriculum.
• Teach across KS1 subjects: English, maths, science and foundation subjects.
• Support pupils transitioning from EYFS to KS1.
• Develop pupils' reading, phonics, writing and numeracy skills.
• Create a safe, inclusive, well-organised classroom environment.
• Differentiate activities to meet varying abilities and learning needs.
