Job summary

Long-Term Teachers Ltd in the BS49 area of North Somerset is partnering with a primary school to recruit a KS1 Teaching Assistant for 1:1 support with SEN pupils. Starting ASAP, the role is full-time and temp with daily pay of £105-£115.

You will assist with phonics and maths, support the Class Teacher, and help foster emotional and social development within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Requires experience working with children or in a school environment.
• Solid knowledge of KS1 curriculum and phonics.
• Able to hit the ground running in a classroom setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with phonics and maths interventions for KS1 students.
• Support the Class Teacher in whole-class activities.
• Provide 1:1 support for SEND pupils and monitor progress.

The Role

Starting as soon as possible, you will be working across a KS1 classroom supporting the Class Teacher with interventions (Phonics and Maths) as well as whole class learning.

We are looking for someone who has a great knowledge of the KS1 curriculum, someone who has knowledge of phonics and can hit the ground running.

You will be expected to:

• Work collaboratively with the Class Teacher to assess children' s development.
• Have prior experience working with children or in a school environment
