Job summary

Step Teachers Ltd is seeking a KS1 Teaching Assistant for a thriving primary school in London. You will support pupils aged 5-7, assist with literacy and numeracy, and help manage activities in a nurturing, inclusive environment.

Typical duties include small-group support, assisting lesson delivery, and promoting positive behaviour. This is a long-term temp-to-perm role with weekly PAYE pay and opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year's experience in a school setting is essential.

Monday to Friday 8:30am – 3:30pm November / December Start Long-Term Temp to Perm Opportunity

Duties as KS1 Teaching Assistant:

• Support pupils across Key Stage 1 within the classroom
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning

Ideal KS1 Teaching Assistant:

• A minimum of one year's experience working within a school setting is essential
• Experience supporting children within Key Stage 1 is highly desirable
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is beneficial but not essential
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive, patient, and adaptable approach
• Ability to quickly build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
