Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is recruiting a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a KS1 pupil in the Vale of Glamorgan, based in Cardiff. The position runs during the school day from 8:30am to 3:30pm with a daily rate of £92.63 and ASAP start, subject to vetting.

Responsibilities

• Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a KS1 pupil both inside and outside the classroom.
• Adapting learning activities to meet the individual needs of the child.
• Supporting the development of literacy, numeracy, communication, and social skills.
• Encouraging engagement, participation, and confidence during lessons.
• Implementing strategies to support emotional well-being and positive behaviour.
• Working closely with the class teacher, ALNCo, and other professionals to ensure consistent support.
• Building a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil to help them feel secure and motivated in school.
• Monitoring progress and providing feedback to teaching staff where required.
• Supporting the pupil during transitions, breaktimes, and other parts of the school day as needed.

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a welcoming primary school in the Vale of Glamorgan to recruit a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil within Key Stage 1.
