ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Prospero Teaching is looking for a Year 5 Primary Teacher for a primary school near Bridport DT6.

The school is a one-form entry mainstream primary school. This role is to cover long-term illness and is expected to continue after Easter 2025, with potential for a new role in September.

The position is open to both NQTs and experienced teachers. Depending on performance, the school may extend the contract or offer a permanent position.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

1. Location: DT6
2. Position: Y5 Primary Teacher
3. Type of work: Class Teacher – planning, preparation, marking, parents' evenings, etc.
4. Start date: ASAP
5. Duration: Academic Year, ending July 2025
6. Contract type: Temporary
7. Full/Part time: Full time
8. Pay rate: Minimum GBP130 per day
9. Hours: 8:30 am – 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• QTS or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year Key Stage 2 teaching experience in the UK
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child-related references covering at least the last two years
