Job summary

Redhill Primary School, part of the Shaw Education Trust, is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support KS1 pupils with Read Write Inc phonics and literacy development. You will work within a friendly team to deliver small-group and 1:1 sessions, tracking progress and adapting support as needed.

The role focuses on building confidence, resilience and a love of learning, with collaboration across staff to provide inclusive, high-quality education.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering Read Write Inc phonics.
• Experience supporting KS1 children with varying learning needs.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Proactive, patient and passionate about making a difference.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Read Write Inc. phonics sessions in small groups and one-to-one.
• Provide tailored support to KS1 children to raise attainment in reading, writing and early numeracy.
• Collaborate with class teachers to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
• Assist in tracking pupil progress and adapt support strategies accordingly.
• Foster a positive, nurturing atmosphere that promotes resilience and a love of learning.
