Job summary

Redhill Primary School in Cannock is seeking a dedicated teaching assistant to deliver Read Write Inc. phonics sessions and support KS1 pupils. You will work closely with classroom teachers to foster an inclusive learning environment and track pupil progress.

The role requires proven phonics delivery skills, experience with KS1, and strong communication and organisation. A proactive, patient approach will help create a nurturing atmosphere that encourages reading, writing and numeracy

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering Read Write Inc. phonics effectively.
• Experience supporting KS1 children, including those with varying learning needs.
• Strong communication and organisational skills; works well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Read Write Inc. phonics sessions in small groups and one-to-one settings.
• Provide tailored support to KS1 children to raise attainment in reading, writing, and early numeracy.
• Collaborate with class teachers to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
• Assist in tracking pupil progress and adapt support strategies accordingly.
• Foster a positive, nurturing atmosphere that promotes resilience and a love of learning.
