The Graduate Network is seeking a KS1 Learning Mentor for an immediate start in a Ward of Selly Oak school in the United Kingdom. You will work with teachers to support Year 1 and Year 2 pupils, delivering targeted interventions in phonics, reading and early maths.
You will also provide emotional and behavioural support to learners, helping create a calm, nurturing classroom that promotes confidence and independence. Prior school or childcare experience is valued but not required.

£85 - £100 per day

As a KS1 Learning Mentor, you'll work closely with class teachers to support pupils across Year 1 and Year 2. Your responsibilities will include delivering focused interventions in phonics, reading, writing, and early maths, as well as providing emotional and behavioural support where needed. You'll help create a positive and engaging learning environment that enables children to grow in confidence and independence.
You should hold a degree in any subject and have a strong interest in primary education, particularly early learning. A calm, nurturing approach and the ability to build trust with young children are essential. Any experience in a school, nursery, or working with children in another setting will be helpful.
