Job summary

Prospero Teaching seeks QTS-qualified tutors to provide flexible 1:1 tutoring across West Sussex, supporting children and young people through personalised sessions. You will work with Local Authorities to tailor lessons and rebuild confidence for learners in Crawley, Worthing, and nearby towns.

Applicants should have QTS and at least two years in education, with strong communication and DBS eligibility. Flexible hours and local travel within West Sussex are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Minimum 2 years' experience in an educational setting
• Experience in teaching, tutoring, mentoring, learning support, or similar educational roles
• Ability to deliver engaging and personalised lessons
• Experience supporting students with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Patient, adaptable, and professional approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
• Driver preferred; travel locally within West Sussex

QTS Tutor

Flexible 1:1 Tutoring Opportunities Across West Sussex

We're looking for QTS-qualified Tutors to support children and young people across West Sussex through personalised 1:1 tuition.

Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you'll provide tailored educational support to learners who require alternative provision. Many of the students we support benefit from a flexible approach that helps rebuild confidence, improve engagement, and achieve positive educational outcomes.

We're particularly interested in tutors based in or able to support learners in and around:

• Crawley
• Worthing
• Bognor Regis
• Littlehampton
• Horsham
• Chichester

Whether your experience is in primary, secondary, core subjects, or specialist subjects, we'd love to hear from you.

• Pay Rate: 25- 30 per hour

Requirements
