Academics is recruiting a KS1 Complex Needs LSA for a long-term role in Brentwood. The position runs ASAP through at least July 2027, supporting a KS1 pupil with complex needs. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, help with communication and independence, and follow individualised plans under the guidance of the SENCO.
The role requires empathy, patience and the ability to remain calm when faced with dysregulation, with a daily rate of 93–110 GBP depending on experience.

Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with complex additional needs?
We are currently working with a welcoming Primary school who are looking for a dedicated and compassionate KS1 Complex Needs LSA to join their team ASAP. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for a long-term position, with the role expected to continue until at least July 2027.
The successful candidate will work closely with a child in KS1 who requires consistent, nurturing and specialist support throughout the school day. You will play an important role in helping them access learning, develop their communication and independence, and feel safe and confident within the classroom environment.
As a Complex Needs LSA, you will:
Previous experience as an LSA, TA, SEN Teaching Assistant, Support Worker, Care Worker or within a specialist SEND setting would be highly desirable.
