Job description

Working arrangement: Predominantly home working

Responsibilities

1. KM strategy: Support the organisation and regulatory decision-making teams, including Regulatory Enforcement, Standards, and Policy, in developing and maintaining the organisation's KM strategy aligned with its overall strategy.
2. Knowledge sharing: Promote a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the Core Teams and the wider organisation to enhance collaboration and decision-making.
3. Knowledge creation: Develop and update KM policies, guidance, and decision-making procedures, with particular attention to onboarding and knowledge debriefs.
4. Knowledge content management: Encourage content creation and ensure knowledge is accessible on relevant platforms, developing taxonomy and tagging systems for improved searchability.
5. KM Systems: Collaborate with IT colleagues to ensure effective KM technologies, oversee content migration, and develop usage guidance, including exploring AI tools.
6. Current awareness and horizon scanning: Monitor relevant developments in law and practice, liaising with the Legal Team and managing subscriptions and training.
7. Legal training: Organise and deliver induction and ongoing legal technical training as part of organisational learning programs.

Minimum Requirements

• Experience as a knowledge manager, preferably in legal or professional services sectors.
• Good IT literacy, especially in document management, knowledge systems, and collaborative tools.
• Familiarity with SharePoint and classification principles.
• Interest and knowledge of technological advances affecting KM systems.
• Ability to motivate and persuade colleagues to engage with KM systems.
• Experience as a barrister or in a law firm as a paralegal, solicitor, or support lawyer.
