Job summary

Kew Green Hotels is seeking a Kitchen Support role to help keep the kitchen running smoothly and support the team in delivering great dining experiences for guests.

Reporting to the Kitchen Manager, you’ll assist with cleaning, storage and basic food prep, and participate in end-of-day clean-up. The role offers development through Chef Development Programme and Chef Academy, with training to progress toward a chef role if desired.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the kitchen team in delivering a positive and memorable dining experience for guests.
• Ensuring all crockery, cutlery, pots and pans are cleaned to the required standard.
• Supporting with basic food preparation when required during busy service periods.
• Supporting chefs by collecting ingredients, equipment or materials as needed.
• Receiving deliveries and ensuring all items are stored safely, correctly and in an organised way.
• Maintaining storage areas so that ingredients and materials are easy to access.
• Keeping the kitchen clean, tidy and ready for service, including end-of-day cleaning.
• Removing waste promptly.
• Using cleaning materials and equipment safely and responsibly.
• Following all health, safety and food hygiene standards at all times.
