Job summary

Kew Green Hotels is seeking a kitchen porter to keep the kitchen running smoothly and support the team in delivering exceptional dining experiences for guests. You will help with cleaning, organisation and ensuring everything is ready for service.

Reporting to the Kitchen Manager, you’ll have opportunities to develop skills through the Chef Development Programme and Chef Academy, progressing toward chef roles if desired. Join a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

Qualifications

  • Must uphold health, safety and food hygiene standards.
  • Able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive, proactive attitude and reliable.
  • Good communication and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Support the kitchen team in delivering a positive dining experience for guests.
  • Ensure crockery, cutlery, pots and pans are cleaned to the required standard.
  • Assist with basic food preparation during busy service periods.
  • Support chefs by collecting ingredients, equipment or materials as needed.
  • Receive deliveries and store items safely, correctly and in an organised way.
  • Maintain storage areas so ingredients and materials are easy to access.
  • Keep the kitchen clean, tidy and ready for service, including end-of-day cleaning.
  • Remove waste promptly.
  • Use cleaning materials and equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Follow all health, safety and food hygiene standards at all times.
  • Take pride in your work, enjoy being part of a team and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
