Job summary

Kew Green Hotels in Leeds is seeking a Kitchen Support Associate to help keep the kitchen running smoothly and ensure service runs efficiently. Reporting to the Kitchen Manager, you’ll help with cleaning, basic food prep, deliveries, and keeping storage tidy.

The role offers training through the Chef Development Programme and Chef Academy to progress toward a chef role. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced team, have a can-do attitude, and commit to health, safety and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the kitchen team in delivering a positive and memorable dining experience for guests.
• Ensuring all crockery, cutlery, pots and pans are cleaned to the required standard.
• Supporting with basic food preparation when required during busy service periods.
• Supporting chefs by collecting ingredients, equipment or materials as needed.
• Receiving deliveries and ensuring all items are stored safely, correctly and in an organised way.
• Maintaining storage areas so that ingredients and materials are easy to access.
• Keeping the kitchen clean, tidy and ready for service, including end-of-day cleaning.
• Removing waste promptly.
• Using cleaning materials and equipment safely and responsibly.
• Following all health, safety and food hygiene standards at all times.
