Job summary

Kew Green Hotels is seeking a kitchen team member to help keep the kitchen running smoothly and support the team in delivering great food experiences for guests. You will work behind the scenes under the Kitchen Manager, ensuring cleanliness, organisation and readiness for service.

With our Chef Development Programme and Chef Academy, you will have opportunities to develop your skills and progress towards a chef role if you wish.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen environment is helpful but not essential.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to health, safety and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the kitchen team in delivering a positive and memorable dining experience for guests.
• Ensure crockery, cutlery, pots and pans are cleaned to the required standard.
• Assist with basic food preparation during busy service periods.
• Collect ingredients, equipment or materials as needed for chefs.
• Receive deliveries and store items safely and organized.
• Maintain storage areas for easy access to ingredients.
• Keep the kitchen clean, tidy and ready for service, including end-of-day cleaning.
• Remove waste promptly.
• Use cleaning materials and equipment safely.
• Follow health, safety and food hygiene standards at all times.
