Job summary

Kew Green Hotels is seeking a passionate commis chef to join our kitchen team across our properties. You will cook and present dishes to recipe standards, and contribute to daily specials to excite our guests.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience in a restaurant, hotel, or pub, or willingness to learn via our Chef Academy.
• Knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
• Basic Food Safety certification or willingness to complete training.
• Passion for great food and guest experiences.
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Cook and present dishes to recipe standards with quality and consistency.
• Support daily specials to showcase skills.
• Keep prep areas stocked, clean, and ready during service.
• Follow food safety standards and help minimise waste.
• Collaborate with Kitchen Manager and team to deliver guest experiences.
• Career development through funded apprenticeships and Chef Academy.
