Job summary

Vero HR Ltd is supporting a well-established family-run food manufacturer near Deeping St James to recruit a hands-on Kitchen Supervisor. You will lead a small team in the cooked food kitchen, ensuring production targets, quality standards and safety are met, reporting to the Production Manager.

The role starts at 5:00am with responsibility for daily production scheduling, labour allocation and monitoring progress to ensure on-time output.

Qualifications

• Experience managing teams in a food production/manufacturing setting.
• Strong ability to plan production and schedule workforce.
• Track record of monitoring KPIs and operational performance.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop teams.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Proactive, hands-on approach with problem-solving ability.
• Good knowledge of food hygiene, health & safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and support a team of production operatives.
• Set up production plans and ensure resources meet demand.
• Monitor productivity and support KPI achievement.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and health & safety compliance.
• Work with the team during busy periods to support output.
• Drive continuous improvements in efficiency, quality and waste reduction.
• Ensure machinery, ingredients and resources are available when required.
• Support training and development across the team.
