Job summary

BaxterStorey in Enfield is seeking a Kitchen Porter to keep the kitchen clean, well organised, and running like a well-oiled machine. You will support chefs, maintain hygiene standards, and may need to drive to on-site locations with a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• No formal education is required, but a high school diploma or equivalent may be preferred.
• Must hold a Full UK driving licence.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Dishwashing – Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment by hand or in industrial dishwashers.
• Heavy Machinery – Daily use of industrial floor cleaner.
• Kitchen Cleanliness – Clean and sanitise surfaces, countertops, and food prep areas; manage waste disposal.
• Food Preparation – Assist chefs with basic prep tasks like peeling, chopping, slicing ingredients.
• Inventory Management – Receive, store, and organise kitchen supplies and ingredients.
• Health and safety – Maintain cleanliness and ensure equipment is in good order; drive to locations on site.
