BaxterStorey is looking for a Kitchen Porter to support a busy kitchen and maintain high standards of cleanliness and efficiency. The role involves dishwashing, basic food prep, and helping chefs with various tasks to ensure smooth service.

Qualifications

• No formal education is required, but a high school diploma or equivalent may be preferred.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Dishwashing - Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment by hand or with industrial dishwashers.
• Kitchen cleanliness - Clean and sanitise surfaces, countertops, and food prep areas; dispose of waste properly.
• Food preparation - Assist chefs with basic tasks like peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients.
• Inventory management - Receive, store, and organise kitchen supplies and ingredients.
• Health and safety compliance - Maintain cleanliness and ensure equipment is in good working order.
