Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen or hospitality setting is desirable.
• Knowledge of HACCP principles or food safety standards.
• Willingness to obtain Level 1 Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen and equipment.
• Prepare and maintain a clean kitchen environment compliant with food safety regulations.
• Assist with receipt, storage and organisation of food and non-food supplies.
• Support kitchen team with peeling vegetables, portioning ingredients and basic prep.
• Operate dishwashers and waste disposal systems safely and efficiently.
• Manage waste disposal and recycling per health and safety guidelines.
• Respond promptly to requests from kitchen and catering staff with a cooperative attitude.
• Report maintenance issues or hygiene concerns to a supervisor.
• Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality, adhering to health and safety procedures.
