Job summary

William Strike Ltd in Brookside Garden Centre’s restaurant is seeking a Part Time Kitchen Porter to support our front and back of house, keeping crockery, cutlery and equipment flowing and the kitchen area clean. This role is 14 hours per week, Saturday and Sunday, with pay between £10.40 and £12.75 per hour, depending on age.

You will follow food hygiene standards, work well in a team and thrive under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Process all cutlery and crockery through the dishwasher.

• Close down the kitchen and prepare for the next day.

Job description

We are looking for a Part Time ##employmenttype## Kitchen Porter to join the team in our Restaurant in Brookside Garden Centre.

Our competitive rates of pay range from £10.40 to £12.75 per hour dependent on age.

The hours for this role are 14 per week Saturday & Sunday.

The Role

As a Kitchen Porter, you will provide a critical service to both our front and back of house operation ensuring a constant supply of clean crockery, cutlery and equipment. You will be trained in the safe operation of the pot wash equipment and take responsibility for a productive and clean work area.

What you will be doing as a Kitchen Porter?

Using equipment, process all cutlery and crockery through the dishwasher.

Make sure waste is disposed of using appropriate recycling bins

Take care to avoid breakages

Ensure all crockery and dishes are cleaned properly before being used

Carry out cleaning of equipment and working areas to the highest food hygiene standards

Close down kitchen each day including preparation for the following day.
