Compass Group UK is seeking a reliable Kitchen Porter for a high-quality corporate hospitality setting in London. The role involves keeping equipment, crockery and kitchen areas clean and ready for service, while supporting chefs and the wider hospitality team throughout the day.

You will work as part of a busy kitchen, maintain high standards, and contribute to smooth operation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is helpful but not essential.
• A strong work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work well as part of a busy kitchen team.

Responsibilities

• Wash and store crockery, cutlery, utensils and kitchen equipment.
• Keep kitchen, wash-up and storage areas clean and organised.
• Ensure the team has the equipment it needs throughout service.
• Assist with deliveries and store items safely and correctly.
• Support waste management and recycling procedures.
• Complete cleaning schedules thoroughly and on time.
• Assist the chefs with basic food preparation when required.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, allergen, COSHH and health and safety procedures.
• Report maintenance, safety or hygiene concerns promptly.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams.
• Support the wider operation wherever needed.

We’re looking for a reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join a high-quality corporate hospitality operation in London.

£15.16 per hour

Working as an important part of the kitchen team, you’ll help keep the whole operation running smoothly. You’ll ensure that equipment, crockery and kitchen areas are kept clean, organised and ready for service while supporting the chefs and wider hospitality team throughout the day.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working as part of a team, takes pride in maintaining high standards and is comfortable in a busy kitchen environment.

Key responsibilities

About you

You’ll be dependable, positive and willing to get stuck in. You’ll work well as part of a team, remain calm during busy periods and take pride in keeping your working environment clean and safe.

Previous kitchen or hospitality experience would be helpful, but it isn’t essential. A strong work ethic, good attitude and willingness to learn are most important.
