KLONDYKE GROUP LIMITED is seeking a Part Time Kitchen Porter for our Restaurant in Strikes Garden Centre. The role involves maintaining a steady supply of clean crockery, cutlery and equipment, and training in pot wash safety. Flexible hours two days over weekends are required.

You will ensure hygiene standards, handle dishwashing duties and help prepare the kitchen for the next day. Generous staff discounts and a healthy work/life balance are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience as a kitchen porter or similar role preferred.
• Ability to operate dishwashing and maintain hygiene standards.
• Flexibility to work weekends and variable shifts.

Responsabilités

• Process all cutlery and crockery through the dishwasher.
• Dispose of waste using appropriate recycling bins.
• Take care to avoid breakages.
• Ensure all crockery and dishes are cleaned properly before use.
• Carry out cleaning of equipment and working areas to high hygiene standards.
• Close down kitchen each day and prep for the following day.

We are looking for a Part Time ##employmenttype## Kitchen Porter to join the team in our Restaurant in Strikes Garden Centre.

Our competitive rates of pay range from £10.40 to £12.75 per hour dependent on age.

The hours for this role are 16 hours per week over 2 days mostly weekends but will be midweek days as and when required so flexibility is a must.

The Role

As a Kitchen Porter, you will provide a critical service to both our front and back of house operation ensuring a constant supply of clean crockery, cutlery and equipment. You will be trained in the safe operation of the pot wash equipment and take responsibility for a productive and clean work area.

What you will be doing as a Kitchen Porter?

• Using equipment, process all cutlery and crockery through the dishwasher.
• Make sure waste is disposed of using appropriate recycling bins
• Take care to avoid breakages
• Ensure all crockery and dishes are cleaned properly before being used
• Carry out cleaning of equipment and working areas to the highest food hygiene standards
• Close down kitchen each day including preparation for the following day.
