William Strike Ltd in Woodmansey Garden Centre is seeking a part-time Kitchen Porter to support both front and back of house. The role provides a steady flow of clean crockery and equipment and involves training on pot wash safety. The position is 14 hours per week, primarily Saturday and Sunday, with competitive hourly pay.

You will help maintain high hygiene standards, support the kitchen team, and ensure a clean, efficient work area for daily operations.

• Close down kitchen and prepare for the next day.

Job description

We are looking for a Part Time ##employmenttype## Kitchen Porter to join the team in our Restaurant in Woodmansey Garden Centre.

Our competitive rates of pay range from £10.40 to £12.75 per hour dependent on age.

The hours for this role are 14 per week Saturday & Sunday.

The Role

As a Kitchen Porter, you will provide a critical service to both our front and back of house operation ensuring a constant supply of clean crockery, cutlery and equipment. You will be trained in the safe operation of the pot wash equipment and take responsibility for a productive and clean work area.

What you will be doing as a Kitchen Porter?

• Using equipment, process all cutlery and crockery through the dishwasher.
• Make sure waste is disposed of using appropriate recycling bins
• Take care to avoid breakages
• Ensure all crockery and dishes are cleaned properly before being used
• Carry out cleaning of equipment and working areas to the highest food hygiene standards
• Close down kitchen each day including preparation for the following day.
