Job summary

William Strike Ltd in Brookside Garden Centre’s restaurant is seeking a Part Time Kitchen Porter to support our front and back of house, keeping crockery, cutlery and equipment flowing and the kitchen area clean. This role is 14 hours per week, Saturday and Sunday, with pay between £10.40 and £12.75 per hour, depending on age.

You will follow food hygiene standards, work well in a team and thrive under pressure.

Qualifications

• Passion for cleanliness and high hygiene standards.
• Understanding of food hygiene requirements.
• Ability to work well in a team and under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Process all cutlery and crockery through the dishwasher.
• Dispose of waste using recycling bins.
• Prevent breakages and handle crockery safely.
• Ensure crockery and dishes are cleaned before use.
• Clean equipment and work areas to high hygiene standards.
• Close down the kitchen and prepare for the next day.
