Job summary

Berkeley Scott is recruiting on behalf of a valued client in Oxford (OX1) for a September start as a School Kitchen Porter. The role is based in a school kitchen with Monday to Friday hours, and offers weekly pay with competitive hourly rates of £12.71 to £14.00 depending on experience.

You will wash pots and equipment, keep the kitchen clean and organised, assist with basic food preparation, dispose of waste, and follow food hygiene, allergen, and health & safety rules.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen porter or catering experience is desirable.
• Enhanced DBS Certificate is required.
• Food Safety Level 2 Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Food Allergen Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Two professional references are required.

Responsibilities

• Washing pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, and kitchen equipment.
• Keeping the kitchen clean, tidy, and organised throughout the day.
• Assisting with basic food preparation when required.
• Disposing of waste and recycling in line with site procedures.
• Following food hygiene, allergen, and health & safety regulations at all times.
