Job summary

Berkeley Scott is recruiting on behalf of a valued client in Corby for a September start as a School Kitchen Porter. You will work in a busy school kitchen, keeping areas clean and organised and assisting with light food preparation.

Weekly pay at £12.71–£14.00 per hour, with a Monday to Friday school-based schedule and ongoing support from the Berkeley Scott team. An Enhanced DBS, Food Safety Level 2, and Food Allergen Certificates are required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Kitchen porter or catering experience is desirable.
• Enhanced DBS Certificate is required.
• Food Safety Level 2 Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Food Allergen Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Two professional references.

Responsibilities

• Washing pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, and kitchen equipment.
• Keeping the kitchen clean, tidy, and organised throughout the day.
• Assisting with basic food preparation when required.
• Receiving and storing deliveries safely and correctly.
• Disposing of waste and recycling in line with site procedures.
• Following food hygiene, allergen, and health & safety regulations at all times.
• Supporting the kitchen team to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
• Helping to maintain a safe and hygienic working environment.
