Job summary

Berkeley Scott is recruiting for a School Kitchen Porter in Kettering (NN14) with a September start. You will join a busy school kitchen, washing pots and keeping areas clean while supporting basic food prep and waste management. This role offers weekly pay and school-based hours in a rewarding environment.

Experience in catering is desirable; Enhanced DBS, Food Safety Level 2, and Food Allergen Certificates are required or obtainable. References will be requested for suitability.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen porter or catering experience is desirable.
• Enhanced DBS Certificate (required).
• Food Safety Level 2 Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Food Allergen Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Two professional references.

Responsibilities

• Washing pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, and kitchen equipment.
• Keeping the kitchen clean, tidy, and organised throughout the day.
• Assisting with basic food preparation when required.
• Disposing of waste and recycling in line with site procedures.
• Following food hygiene, allergen, and health & safety regulations at all times.
