Kitchen Porter London
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £12.58 per hour
Hours: 32.5 per week

About the Role

A co-educational independent day school for 4-11 year olds in Balham, London, catering for about 500 students and teachers daily. We offer core feeding of AM snack, Lunch, PM snack, and Hospitality & events during term time only, working Monday to Friday. The school benefits from excellent transport links.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our friendly and established team at our prestigious London location. You will play a vital role in maintaining the hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards of the kitchen.

Key Skills and Responsibilities

• Experience in pot wash duties is advantageous
• Excellent customer service skills
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Assist chefs with food preparation
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness at all times
• Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment, including heavy catering machinery and air filtration systems
• Operate industrial dishwasher effectively

Candidate Requirements

• Kitchen Porter experience is preferred but not essential
• Can-do attitude
• Good organizational skills
• Proficiency in verbal and written English
• Experience in customer service or food preparation environment is preferred
