Job summary

Thomas Franks Ltd. is seeking a Kitchen Porter for our central London location. You will help keep the kitchen hygienic, safe and up to high cleanliness standards, while supporting chefs with prep tasks and handling dishwashing duties.

The role requires organisation and English language skills, with experience in kitchen or catering environments preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position with potential for progression within a leading independent contract caterer.

Qualifications

• Kitchen Porter experience is preferred, but not essential.
• Organisation skills.
• Able to communicate in English (verbal).
• Able to read and write English to a reasonable standard.
• Experience in customer or food preparation environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle pot wash duties and assist chefs with food prep as needed.
• Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene.
• Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment.
• Operate the industrial dishwasher.
• Clean heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials.
• Assist with air filter and extraction system cleaning as required.
• Support the team to ensure smooth kitchen operation.

Contract: Full Time , Permanent
Salary: £ 14.25 per hour
Hours: 40 per week

A fantastic B&I location for a software company offering a cloud-based platform for data analytics and artificial intelligence. This location is based in London. Catering for about 250-300 people and operates Monday to Friday. This is a free issue location offering core feeding of Lunch, Coffee Shop and High end hospitality. With its Central London location, it benefits from great travel access.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our established & friendly team at our prestigious location in London.

You'll be playing a big part in keeping the kitchen hygienic, safe, and up to our very high standards of cleanliness.

• Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage
• Great team player
• Be able to help the Chefs with some food prep
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness at all times
• Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment
• Clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials including air filter and extraction systems.
• Operate industrial dishwasher

We are looking for:

• Kitchen Porter experience is preferred, but not essential.
• Organisation Skills.
• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.
• Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred
