Job summary

Thomas Franks Ltd in Doncaster is looking for a Kitchen Porter to join a busy catering team focused on hygiene, safety and high cleanliness standards. The role involves supporting chefs, assisting with prep and maintaining equipment and dishwashing, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and reliability.

The successful candidate will contribute to a well-run kitchen and benefit from opportunities for training, staff meals, and a supportive work environment within a leading independent caterer.

Qualifications

• Kitchen Porter experience is preferred, but not essential.
• Organisation Skills.
• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.
• Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with pot wash duties and keep the kitchen hygienic at all times.
• Help the Chefs with food preparation where needed.
• Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment and surfaces.
• Operate the industrial dishwasher and support waste management and cleanliness.

A fantastic B&I location, part of a large group, one of the world's leading communications services companies with this location based in Doncaster. Catering for about 400 people daily, we offer a core feeding of Breakfast, Lunch and vending options. This location operates Monday to Friday and benefits from good transport links.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our established & friendly team at our prestigious location in Doncaster.

You'll be playing a big part in keeping the kitchen hygienic, safe, and up to our very high standards of cleanliness.

• Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage
• Great team player
• Be able to help the Chefs with some food prep
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness at all times
• Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment
• Clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials including air filter and extraction systems.
• Operate industrial dishwasher

We are looking for:
