Job summary

Thomas Franks Ltd is seeking a Kitchen Porter at our Ashtead Park site to help keep the kitchen hygienic, safe and clean during busy service. You will support chefs with basic food preparation and maintain equipment to our high standards.

Experience with pot wash is an advantage; good verbal and written English are essential. We offer a full-time 40-hour week, free meals on duty, and opportunities for progression within a leading contract catering group.

Qualifications

• Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage.
• Excellent team player with good communication in English.
• Ability to assist chefs with some food preparation and maintain high cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen.
• Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment and heavy catering gear.
• Operate the industrial dishwasher and assist with food prep as needed.

Contract: Full Time , Permanent
Salary: 12.94
Hours: 40 per week

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our established & friendly team at our prestigious location in Ashtead Park.

You'll be playing a big part in keeping the kitchen hygienic, safe, and up to our very high standards of cleanliness.

• Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage
• Great team player
• Be able to help the Chefs with some food prep
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness at all times
• Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment
• Clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials including air filter and extraction systems.
• Operate industrial dishwasher

We are looking for:

• Kitchen Porter experience is preferred, but not essential.
• Organisation Skills.
• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.
• Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred
