Job summary

Thomas Franks in Doncaster is looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our established team at a prestigious location. You will help keep the kitchen hygienic, safe and up to the high standards of cleanliness, and assist the chefs with some food preparation as needed.

We value reliable team players with good verbal and written English. The role offers progression within a leading independent contract caterer, plus a range of staff perks and a workplace pension.

Qualifications

• Kitchen Porter experience is preferred, but not essential.
• Organisation Skills.
• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.
• Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred

Responsibilities

• Keep the kitchen hygienic, safe and up to our high standards of cleanliness.
• Assist Chefs with some food prep as required.
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness at all times.
• Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment.

A fantastic B&I location, part of a large group, one of the world's leading communications services companies with this location based in Doncaster. Catering for about 400 people daily, we offer a core feeding of Breakfast, Lunch and vending options. This location operates Monday to Friday and benefits from good transport links.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our established & friendly team at our prestigious location in Doncaster.

You'll be playing a big part in keeping the kitchen hygienic, safe, and up to our very high standards of cleanliness.

• Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage
• Great team player
• Be able to help the Chefs with some food prep
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness at all times
• Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment
• Clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials including air filter and extraction systems.
• Operate industrial dishwasher
