Job summary

Thomas Franks London is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our established team at our London location. You will help keep the kitchen hygienic, safe and at high cleanliness standards, supporting chefs with prep and ensuring equipment is clean and ready for service.

Experience with pot wash is a plus, though not essential. We offer a full-time permanent contract, 40 hours per week, with a pay of £15 per hour and benefits including meals on duty and pension.

Qualifications

• Experience with pot wash duties is advantageous.
• Excellent customer service skills expected.
• Similar experience in customer and/or food preparation environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen hygiene and high cleanliness standards.
• Assist chefs with food preparation as needed.
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and operate the dishwasher.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our established & friendly team at our prestigious location in London.

You’ll be playing a big part in keeping the kitchen hygienic, safe, and up to our very high standards of cleanliness.

Key skills:

• Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage
• Excellent customer service skills
• Great team player
• Be able to help the Chefs with some food prep
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness at all times
• Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment
• Clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials including air filter and extraction systems.
• Operate industrial dishwasher

We are looking for:

• Kitchen Porter experience is preferred, but not essential.
• Can do attitude.
• Organisation Skills.

Knowledge / competencies:

• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.
• Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred
