Job summary

Thomas Franks Ltd. in Doncaster is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join a busy catering team. You will help keep the kitchen hygienic, safe and compliant with high standards of cleanliness, while supporting chefs with basic food preparation and equipment cleaning.

Experience in pot washing is preferred but not essential; strong organisation, clear English communication, and a willingness to learn are important for this role. Excellent career progression within a leading independent contract caterer.

Job description

A fantastic B&I location, part of a large group, one of the world's leading communications services companies with this location based in Doncaster. Catering for about 400 people daily, we offer a core feeding of Breakfast, Lunch and vending options. This location operates Monday to Friday and benefits from good transport links.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our established & friendly team at our prestigious location in Doncaster.

You'll be playing a big part in keeping the kitchen hygienic, safe, and up to our very high standards of cleanliness.

• Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage
• Great team player
• Be able to help the Chefs with some food prep
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness at all times
• Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment
• Clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials including air filter and extraction systems.
• Operate industrial dishwasher

We are looking for:

• Kitchen Porter experience is preferred, but not essential.
• Organisation Skills.
• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.
• Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred
