Overview

Cambridge

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Salary: 25397

Hours: 40 per week

A constituent college of the University of Cambridge oriented to mature students. Catering for 200 students and teachers daily. We offer a core feeding of breakfast, lunch, evening meal, all day cafà and lots of high end hospitality. This is a year-round contract operating 7 days a week and work patterns will be 5 days out of 7. Additional benefits of this location is free on-site parking.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our established & friendly team at our prestigious location in Cambridge. You'll be playing a big part in keeping the kitchen hygienic, safe, and up to our very high standards of cleanliness.

Responsibilities
  • Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Great team player
  • Be able to help the Chefs with some food prep
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness at all times
  • Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment
  • Clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials including air filter and extraction systems.
  • Operate industrial dishwasher
Knowledge / Competencies
  • Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
  • Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.
  • Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred
