Job summary

The Bedford Hotel Belfast, a premier boutique hotel in the heart of Belfast, is seeking a Kitchen Porter to maintain cleanliness and support the kitchen team. You will follow Head Chef procedures, assist with stock and deliveries, and help uphold high standards of hygiene.

Qualifications

Previous experience preferred.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and enjoy it.
Able to work independently, self-motivated to complete tasks.
Flexibility to work different shift patterns, including weekends.

Responsibilities

Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness in kitchen areas by following procedures set by the Head Chef.
Support the Kitchen Team with tasks as required with a positive, can-do attitude.
Work sections, ensuring that pot-wash standards are met with utmost cleanliness.
Display efficient working practices and ensure kitchen utensils, cookware and crockery are cleaned in a timely manner.
Assist the Head Chef with stock taking and storage, including checking deliveries.
Ensure a high level of Health & Safety, cleanliness and food hygiene and follow safe working practices, COSHH and PPE.
Carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the job.

With 82 beautifully appointed bedrooms, a destination restaurant, café/bar, and exclusive private dining rooms, The Bedford Hotel Belfast is setting new standards for hospitality in Northern Ireland.

Role Responsibilities

AsaKitchenPorter,you’llmaintainthe highest standards of cleanliness in all kitchen areas by followingestablished procedureseach day set by the Head Chef.

You’llhave a positive mentality and can-do attitude supporting the rest of the Kitchen Team with any tasks asrequired.
To work the sections, ensuring that pot-wash standards are dealt with efficiently, always ensuring utmost cleanliness.
Display efficient working practices and ensure all the kitchen, utensils, cookware, and crockeryareproperly cleanedin a timely manner.
Support the Head Chef with stock taking and storage of stock, including checking deliveries.
Toassistin ensuringa high levelof Health & Safety,cleanlinessand food hygiene and to ensure that safe working practices are followed.
Be aware of COSHH regulations and use of PPE.
To carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the job.

Key Requirements
