Job summary

La Mon Hotel & Country Club is looking for a Kitchen Porter to maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen. Most shifts are evenings, starting at 4.00pm, with duties including dishwashing, pot and utensil cleaning, and supporting the chefs as needed.

Candidates should have good English, the right to work in the UK, and reliable transport due to location. This is an opportunity to join a respected four-star hotel on the outskirts of Belfast.

Qualifications

Right to Work in the United Kingdom.
Good command of English.

Responsibilities

Wash all dishes and utensils.
Clean all pots, crockery and utensils.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors and equipment.
Assist Chefs as required and follow health & safety policies.
Attend training courses when necessary and report incidents.

We need a Kitchen Porter to ensure the expected high standards of health & safety, cleanliness and hygiene is maintained in the kitchen area as a whole.

(Mostly evening shifts, starting at 4.00pm)

About the role

Main tasks and duties

To wash the dishes;
To clean all pots;
To wash all cutlery, crockery and utensils;
To maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen floor;
To remove all rubbish and take to the relevant areas;
To maintain the cleanliness of all kitchen equipment;
To assist Chefs as and when required;
To take due care and attention when undertaking any task or procedure;
To maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance;
To ensure effective communication to management and peers;
To carry out periodic checks on rooms i.e. staff room etc and on all equipment;
To follow all health and safety policies and procedures as devised by management;
To attend training courses as and when necessary;
To ensure that due care is taken for the health and safety of yourself, other employees and any other persons on the premises;
Report and where appropriate take action on any incident, accident, fire, loss or damage;
Any other duties and responsibilities as requested by management.
