Job summary

Wilson Vale is recruiting a Kitchen Porter for one of our independent schools in Amersham, HP6 5PF. The role is a temporary contract covering two school terms, working Monday to Friday from 9:30am to 4:00pm, 32.5 hours per week, at a rate of £12.71 per hour.

You will wash dishes, keep kitchen areas clean, assist with basic food preparation, help with deliveries, and support the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth meal service and high hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role and environment.
• Must be highly organised and able to work in a high-pressured environment.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and follow health and safety rules.
• Keep areas clean and tidy and maintain hygiene standards.
• Excellent customer service and social skills.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Porter to join our team at one of our independent schools in Amersham HP6 5PF.

Monday to Friday

32.5 hours per week

9.30am to 4.00pm

£12.71 per hour

This is atemporary contract covering two school terms.

Your duties will include washing dishes, cleaning kitchen equipment and work areas, assisting with basic food preparation, handling deliveries and supporting the wider kitchen team where needed.

We're looking for a positive, honest and reliable Kitchen Porter to join our friendly and hardworking team. you'll be part of a private school kitchen, supporting the team with the smooth running of the daily meal service and helping to maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Have experience working in a similar role and environment
• Be highly organised and comfortable working in a high-pressured environment
