Thomas Franks Ltd. is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our team at our Winchester location. The role is full-time, permanent, 40 hours per week, with an annual salary of £24,911. You will help maintain hygiene, assist chefs with prep, and ensure clean, safe kitchen operations across a seven-day service pattern.

Qualifications

• Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage.
• Excellent customer service skills.

• Kitchen Porter experience is preferred, but not essential.

Job description

Kitchen Porter | Monday to Friday Winchester Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £24,911 per year
Hours: 40 per week

A leading independent boarding and day school for girls aged 3 - 18 with a co-ed preschool in Winchester, Hampshire. Catering for just over 900 students and teachers daily. Our core feeding offer is breakfast, Mid Morning Snack, Lunch, dinner, Match teas, Hospitality and external lettings throughout the year. This is a 7 days a week operation so shift patterns would usually be 5 over 7 days. This location offers a mix of term time roles along with full 52 weeks contracts. This location benefits from free parking on site.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our established & friendly team at our prestigious location in Winchester.

You’ll be playing a big part in keeping the kitchen hygienic, safe, and up to our very high standards of cleanliness.

Key skills

We are looking for:

• Kitchen Porter experience is preferred, but not essential.

Knowledge / competencies

• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.
• Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred
