Job summary

Billesley Manor Hotel & Spa is seeking a reliable Kitchen Porter to support a busy hotel kitchen team in delivering an exceptional dining experience for guests. You will help with cleaning, dishwashing, and basic food prep, contributing to a safe and efficient kitchen environment.

We value a positive attitude, reliability, and the ability to work well within a team, including shifts in the evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Previous kitchen experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen and back-of-house areas.
• Wash and clean crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Operate the dishwasher and ensure all items are cleaned and stored correctly.
• Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks when required.
• Keep kitchen areas, floors, storage areas, and equipment clean and organised.
• Dispose of waste and recycling safely in accordance with hotel procedures.
• Receive, store, and rotate deliveries following food safety guidelines.
• Ensure cleaning supplies and kitchen areas are well stocked.
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
• Follow all health and safety, food hygiene, and HACCP procedures.
• Maintain a safe working environment by reporting hazards or equipment issues promptly.

Job Description

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our busy hotel kitchen team.
