Job summary

Albrighton Hall Hotel & Spa is seeking a kitchen team member to maintain top cleanliness across kitchen areas and assist with food preparation as needed. The role supports the Head Chef to ensure hygienic, safe operations and efficient service in a 4* setting.

You will follow established procedures, participate in health and safety training, and help with stock and deliveries while enjoying a collaborative team environment in the Shropshire countryside.

Qualifications

• Fast-paced environment experience desired.

• Flexibility to work different shift patterns including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain highest cleanliness standards in all kitchen areas by following Head Chef procedures.
• Assist in food preparation when required and ensure timely cleaning of kitchen, utensils and cookware.
• Display efficient working practices and ensure hygiene and safety standards are followed.
• Assist in par stock ordering for cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Be aware of COSHH regulations and PPE usage.
• Support Head Chef with stock taking and proper storage of deliveries.
• Attend all Health & Safety, Fire Safety and Food Safety training as directed.

Role Responsibilities

You’ll maintain the highest standards of cleanliness in all kitchen areas by following established procedures each day set by the Head Chef. You’ll assist in the food preparation when required. You’ll display efficient working practices and ensure all the kitchen, utensils, cookware, crockery are properly cleaned in a timely manner.

• You’ll have a positive mentality and can-do attitude supporting the rest of the Kitchen Team with any tasks as required.
• To work the sections, ensuring that pot-wash standards are dealt with efficiently and to the best of your ability insuring the up most cleanliness at all times.
• To assist in ensuring a high level of Health & Safety, cleanliness and food hygiene and to ensure that safe working practices are followed.
• To assist in the par stock ordering for cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Be aware of COSHH regulations and use of PPE.
• Support the Head Chef with stock taking and storage of stock, including checking deliveries.
• To carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the job.
• You must attend all Health & Safety, Fire Safety and Food Safety training as directed by your Line Manager.
